Team Aloha Aina Tees: Hāloa
Hāloa is the first common ancestor of all Hawaiian people. He was named in honor of his older sibling, Hāloanakalaukapalili, who was stillborn. The first kalo plant grew from the spot where Hāloanakalaukapalili was buried.
Kalo has always been a most important source of nutrition to Hawaiians. In this way, as we care for the land, older sibling Hāloa continues to nourish the 'ohana.
Whether the firstborn or the first ancestor, Hāloa is the first, hence #01.
